§ 60. Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Minister of Health if the Government have yet completed their review of the food poisoning organisms in imported tins of foodstuffs from South America found in Leith, Edinburgh, Wapping, and elsewhere; and when he will publish a full report of these dangers to public health and the steps Her Majesty's Government is taking, and has taken to protect the public from these dangers.
§ Mr. BarberNo. Any proposed changes to the imported Food Regulations will be submitted to interested parties and to the Food Hygiene Advisory Council before regulations are laid before Parliament.
§ Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Minister of Health v/hat replies he has had to the memorandum which he sent on 19th June, 1964, to all medical officers of health, asking them to take protective measures against the danger of human infection from tins of beef imported for human consumption into Great Britain; and what further steps he has taken and plans to take as a consequence of these replies.
