PriceThe best estimate I can make is that between the 20th February, when I gave the figure of 2,000 jobs in prospect to the House, and the middle of May, at least 280 jobs materialised from projects covered by that forecast. Between mid-February and mid-May unemployment in the Gateshead and Felling area fell by 531. As I have already explained to the hon. Member, it is not possible to estimate how many jobs will materialise during 1964.
