§ Mr. R. A. ButlerThe communication to which the hon. Member refers was included in a printed "Address" by Monsieur Thiam to "Ministers of Foreign Affairs throughout the World". This document, which was, in the main, a statement of the aims and methods of the United Towns Organisation, did not request a reply.
The general subject of town twinning is not, as far as I am aware, on the agenda of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation. No special instructions have therefore been sent to the United Kingdom representative.
