Johnsonasked the Minister of Transport if he is aware that there is a considerable demand for further driving instruction from persons who already hold a licence to drive a motor vehicle; and what action he will take to make this available or to assist suitable organisations who are already providing such instruction.
§ Mr. MarplesI know there is some demand for this sort of instruction, but I think arrangements for making it available are best left to local authorities who know the conditions and facilities in their own areas and have powers to arrange for practical training for road users.
