HC Deb 01 July 1964 vol 697 c220W
92. Mr. Pavitt

asked the Minister of Transport when he will make a decision concerning traffic signals at the junction of Brentfield and Knatchbull Road, N.W.10, in reply to the representation made on behalf of elderly constituents by the hon. Member for Willesden, West, on 6th December, 1963.

Mr. Marples

I agree in principle that there should be traffic signals at this junction, but a final decision on the arrangements to be made must await the conclusion of discussions with the county and borough councils and the police.

These are taking some time because they must cover other measures which are likely to be necessary if signal control here is to be effective, for example, alterations in road layout, signalling of the adjacent junction with Craven Park Road and, perhaps, local one-way traffic working.
