§ Mr. NobleThe current three-year programme for 1962–64 covered about 40,000 unfit houses. To the end of September, 1963, about 18,500 unfit houses had been closed or demolished. In addition, about 2,000 houses not classified as unfit had been closed or demolished in slum clearance and redevelopment operations.
