§ 11. Mr. McKayasked the Minister of Labour what estimate he has made of the unemployment of railwaymen which will result from the closure of the railway line from Newcastle to the Tynemouth area.
§ Mr. WhitelawI understand that the Railways Board estimates that if this closure takes place there will be a reduction of some 17 posts, but that it can offer alternative employment to all those affected.
