§ 36. Mr. Lawsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether Wishaw is included in the growth area of North Lanarkshire as designated in the White Paper, Command Paper No. 2188.
Mr. CampbellNo. But Wishaw is in a development district and is, therefore, eligible for all the benefits which come from that. Moreover being on the edge of a growth area it is likely to receive benefits from the additional investment allocated for regional services and for the growth area since these are not tied geographically to its boundaries.
