§ Mr. SoamesI can comment only upon cases where my officers have8W received direct information or where they carried out their own examinations. Seventeen cows, including two belonging to the Ministry used as controls, and possibly seven sheep are known to us or believed by us to have died as a result of this outbreak, but other deaths have been reported from the district. Most of these deaths occurred in the early part of the summer.
