Mr. Lawsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many persons held in Scottish prisons before trial in 1962 and subsequently found not guilty or released without trial were held in prison for periods longer than four days; and what were the six longest periods for which persons were so held.
§ Mr. NobleI regret that the information for which the hon. Member asks is not immediately available. The Lord Advocate and I will, however, consider how far the investigation referred to in my reply to the hon. Member on 10th February can cover information of this kind.
