Mr. Burdenasked the Secretary for Technical Co-operation how many former colonial service officers are affected by the withholding of tax imposed by the Government of Ghana; 169W what further steps are being taken with the Government of Ghana to get the tax removed; and what are the intentions of Her Majesty's Government towards these pensioners.
Mr. CarrI would refer my hon. Friend to the reply I gave on this subject on 11th February. The number of pensioners affected by the Ghana tax measure is approximately 1,500.
