§ Mr. Tom FraserYes. My right hon. Friends, the Secretaries of State for Scotland and Wales, and I have decided to set up a National Road Safety Advisory Council with the following terms of reference
To keep under review the road accident situation in Great Britain, and methods of accident prevention; to advise the Minister of Transport, and the Secretaries of State for Scotland and Wales, on those matters which he, or the Secretaries of State, may refer to them; and to consider and report on other matters which may appear to the Council to be of importance in relation to road safety.I am glad to say that Sir Alfred Owen has agreed to be Chairman. I will announce the names of the other members as soon as possible.
