§ 88. Sir J. Gilmourasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is aware of the shortage of district nurses in Fife; and what steps he is taking to help fill the vacancies.
§ Mr. RossI have had no representations about the position in Fife but I am aware that in some parts of Scotland authorities have difficulty from time to time in filling district nurse vacancies. The operational research unit of the Scottish Home and Health Department is at present carrying out an appraisal of the Home Nursing Service, including its staffing problems.
