§ Mr. K. RobinsonI am examining recruitment methods to see how they can be improved. I shall continue to encourage authorities to improve the conditions under which nurses and midwives work and are trained. Remuneration is a matter for the Nurses and Midwives Whitley Council and I understand that the Staff Side has recently submitted a comprehensive claim. Meantime, in accordance with an earlier agreement of the Council, hours of work are currently being reduced.
