§ Mr. Martenasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what would be his estimate of the increase in the cost of building an average size house as the result of the 15 per cent. surcharge, Bank Rate increase, petrol tax increase and National Insurance contribution increase, assuming that none of the extra costs falling on the suppliers of building materials and components were absorbed by them.
