§ Mrs. BraddockThe Kitchen Committee has begun its work by examining the present financial position of the Refreshment Department particularly in the light of the two Special Reports made by the Committee of last Session. After this it intends to carry out a general review of the catering facilities of the Department. It hopes to be able to report its conclusions to the House later this Session.
§ Mr. Wingfield Digbyasked the hon. Member for Liverpool, Exchange, as Chairman of the Kitchen Committee, whether she will arrange to have a charcoal grill installed in the Members' Cafeteria or elsewhere.
§ Mr. Costainasked the hon. Member for Liverpool, Exchange, as Chairman of the Kitchen Committee, if she is aware of the merits of Dungeness sprats; and if she will arrange for them to be included on the House of Commons menus.
§ Mrs. BraddockThe Kitchen Committee has started to carry out a general review of the administration and financial position of the Refreshment Department, and hopes to be able to make a Special Report of its conclusions to the House later in the Session. Meanwhile, the suggestions made by the hon. Members will be considered and account will be taken of them by the Committee during the course of its review.
