Dr. Bennettasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on Her Majesty's submarine "Aurochs", with particular reference to her seaworthiness and failures of her gear.
§ Mr. MayhewH.M.S. "Aurochs" was surveyed in September by the Flag Office Submarines' staff and, because of signs of wear and tear, it was decided to withdraw her from service. She is virtually at the end of her normal "life" and her future is being studied with this fact in mind.
