§ Mr. Biffenasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer by what amount the original estimates of import saving and revenue arising from the 15 per cent. surcharge should be revised on account of amendment made between the publication of the White Paper on 26th October and the Third Reading of the Finance Bill.
§ Mr. MacDermotIt is not possible to predict in detail the effect of the charge on imports of individual products, but the amendments to the scheme since 26th October are unlikely significantly to affect the original estimates.
