§ Sir Knox Cunninghamasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will take steps to make clear to returning officers and those under their jurisdiction in constituencies during a Parliamentary election that their authority is confined to the area of a polling station, which is a room or part of a room in a building, and does not extend to any other part of the building in which the room is situated or to outside such building.
§ Mr. George ThomasMy right hon. Friend has no reason to suppose that returning officers or those employed by them are in any doubt in the matter.
