Mr. Abseasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he is aware of the hardship caused to owner-occupiers in Wales whose long leases are expiring and who are either denied the right to purchase their freehold or are being charged exorbitant prices; and what steps he is taking to remedy this.
§ Mr. Rhodesasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government, in view of the growing number of leaseholders who are being pressed by local landowners to purchase, as soon as possible, the freehold of the land they now occupy, what proposals he has for leasehold reform in the near future.
§ Mr. Gowerasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government on what date he will give detailed information about his proposed changes in the law relating to leasehold tenure as it affects residential premises; and if he will issue a White Paper giving this information.
