§ Mr. Dellasked the Minister of Health if he has now completed his consideration of the need to increase the allowances given to drivers of invalid vehicles provided 135W by his Department, to compensate for the additional duty on petrol; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. RobinsonWar pensioners and National Health Service patients with invalid tricycles will be given an allowance of £5 a year in respect of petrol duty in place of the present allowances. This will take effect from 1st December last. The car maintenance allowances paid to war pensioners present a more complex problem and I am still considering the matter.
