§ Mr. Bakerasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware of the disquiet which exists in Upper Banffshire as a result of cattle and sheep stealing in the area; and what action he proposes to take to stop such stealing.
§ Mr. RossMy inquiries show that three cases involving the loss of small numbers of sheep have been reported to the police in this area recently, but it is not certain 153W whether these sheep were stolen or had strayed. All losses should be reported, and the police will do everything they can to detect, and prevent, offences.
