48. Mr. J. E. B. Hillasked the Minister of Overseas Development what progress is being made in the Kenya Government's Scheme to purchase British-owned farms in the 01 Kalou salient with funds provided by the British Government.

I understand that the Kenya authorities have already made offers to purchase farms in the Dundori/ Bahati area, and that they will be making offers to the remaining farmers in the near future.
