§ Mr. CrossmanMy predecessor hoped that the number of houses completed in Great Britain in 1965 would approach 400,000. I see no reason to alter this. It is of more immediate importance to see that land is available and to ensure that the construction industry is equal to the demands of such a programme than to set new targets.
