§ Mr. ChatawayEducation grant paid to Bristol Education Authority for 1957–58 and 1958–59 amounted to £3,311,599 and £3,544,706, respectively. From 1959–60 Exchequer aid to local education authorities has been given through the general grant and it is not possible to apportion that grant to individual services.
