§ 38. Mr. Boydenasked the Secretary of State for Industry, Trade and Regional Development, in view of paragraph 108 of the White Paper on the North-East, which says that an effort should be made to attract a greater number of visitors by the construction and modernisation of more hotels, what plans are in existence, and what Government assistance has been given, for such construction in the Bishop Auckland constituency.
§ Mr. HeathI am not aware of any plans for constructing and modernising hotels in the Bishop Auckland con-84W stituency. No application for assistance under the Local Employment Acts has yet been made.
