HL Deb 29 April 1964 vol 257 cc1041-2WA
LORD WALERAN

asked Her Majesty's Government:

When they expect to receive the Report of the Motor Rallies Advisory Committee.

LORD CHESHAM

The Report is to be published to-morrow. My right honourable friend, the Minister of Trans- port, is generally in agreement with its recommendations. One of these is that the Royal Automobile Club and the Auto-Cycle Union should be invtied to act as his agents for the control of the majority of motor sporting events. I am glad to say that both have agreed in principle to undertake the task. Draft Regulations based on the Committee's proposals will be circulated to interested organisations for comment as soon as possible.

House adjourned at fourteen minutes before seven o'clock.
