§ Mr. Mahonasked the Minister of Health what representations he has received from the superior of the religious order responsible for Lourdes Hospital, Liverpool, and the Providence Hospital, St. Helens, Lancashire; and if he will maintain and extend the present contractual arrangements between such hospitals and regional boards.
§ Mr. BarberI have received representations that any additional beds provided by the Order in connection with a nurse training scheme should be added to the existing contract between the Order and the Liverpool Regional Hospital Board; contractual arrangements are made by Boards only where they are necessary to provide a service to meet all reasonable requirements.
