§ Mr. WhitelawThe following table gives the number of railway employees, employed and unemployed together, in the areas concerned. The figures for Kilmarnock include employment in the area of the Stewarton Branch Employment Office whose employment figures are combined with those of Kilmarnock. They do not include some ancillary employment and may include workers employed by private manufacturers of rolling stock and equipment. Figures for 1963 are not yet available.
