§ Dr. Brayasked the Minister of Labour how many and what proportion of Easter school-leavers are unemployed in Middlesbrough and Thornaby; and what further measures he is planning to find them employment.
§ Mr. WhitelawOn 13th April, 116 or 21 per cent. of the 550 Easter school-leavers known to the Youth Employment Service at Middlesbrough were registered for first employment; at Thornaby the corresponding figures were 27 or 20 per cent. out of a total of 136. The Youth Employment Service is doing all it can to help the young people find suitable employment.
