§ 3. Mr, G. M. Thomsonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will make a statement on the result of the inquiries he has made of the Government of Iraq regarding the restoration of a passport to Mr. Hillal Al-Chalabi, a Iraqi student in the United Kingdom, to enable him to complete his studies.
§ Mr. MathewFurther inquiries have been made about Mr. Hillal Al-Chalabi's case. I am informed that the Iraqi Embassy has been in communication with its Government about the withdrawal of Mr. Al-Chalabi's passport but has not yet received further instructions. Meanwhile I am told that Mr. Al-Chalabi continues his studies at the Kingston Technical College and receives adequate funds for this from Iraq.
