BoyleThe Government statement on the Robbins Report made it clear that, apart from the new university for Scotland, the Robbins proposals for new universities would be considered during the formulation of the 10-year programme by the University Grants Committee and the Government. With regard to location, it is for the University Grants Committee to advise the Government in the first place in the228W light of all relevant factors. The University Grants Committee and the Government Departments concerned are studying the regional planning considerations to be taken into account.
