§ Mr. MarplesHer Majesty's Government are now studying the implications for the United Kingdom of a fixed Channel Link, in the light of the joint report by British and French officials, and of comments received following publication of the Report on 19th September. This study will be completed as soon as possible, with a view to an early exchange of views with the French Government on the main issues of principle.
