§ 57. Mr. Longdenasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will introduce legislation to apply the Provisional 38W Collection of Taxes Act, 1913, to all stamp duties so that reductions proposed in the latter in a Budget statement may take provisional effect from the date on which they are proposed.
§ Mr. Maudling. No. I am afraid it would not be practicable to apply that Act to stamp duties.
