§ Sir J. Smythasked the Secretary of State for War if he will take steps to reduce the long delays which take place, 29W and the pilfering which occurs, in sending stores and clothing to the British recruiting depot in Nepal.
§ Mr. RamsdenThere have been delays in the transit of goods through India to Nepal, including goods for the British Recruiting Depot at Dahran: and we have had conversations with the appropriate authorities.
I understand that the Governments of India and Nepal have recently agreed on fresh arrangements designed to reduce these delays while safeguarding their respective interests. These are due to come into effect very shortly.
