HC Deb 22 November 1963 vol 684 cc149-50W
Mr. Zilliacus

asked the Minister of Education what action he proposes to take on the report submitted to him by Her Majesty's inspectors on the overcrowding and poor accommodation in Haughton Green Primary School, in Denton, Lancashire.

Sir E. Boyle

The local education authority expect that the overcrowding at this school will be relieved by a new county primary school now nearly completed. Two more primary schools, one county and one Roman Catholic, will be started in 1964–65. Improvements to the school premises likely to be undertaken soon include redecoration, better ventilation and renewal of flooring.
