§ 77. Mr. Masonasked the Minister of Aviation if he has received the report which has been prepared by the Director of the Royal Aircraft Establishment at Farnborough and by Post Office engineers on the subject of space satellite systems; when he intends to publish the report; and, in the meanwhile, whether it is his department's intention to consider an independent British effort to establish a global telephonic and television satellite system.
§ Mr. MartenYes, my right hon. Friend has received the report. As it deals with defence communications as well as civil systems it will not be published. All the ways in which a British contribution could be made are being considered.
