§ 75. Mr. Awberyasked the Minister of Labour if he will take steps to grant financial assistance to local authorities which will have to operate the Offices, Shops and Railway Premises Act.
§ Mr. GodberExpenditure on the enforcement of the provisions concerning fire precautions will be taken into account in determining the aggregate amount of the general grant. In addition the cost of enforcing the Act generally will increase the payment of rate deficiency grant—or Exchequer equalisation grant in Scotland—to those authorities who qualify for it.
