HL Deb 21 November 1963 vol 253 cc567-8WA
THE EARL OF SANDWICH

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will attach labels to the rarer trees planted in recent years in St. James's Park.

THE FIRST LORD OF THE ADMIRALTY (EARL JELLICOE)

My right honourable friend the Minister of Public Building and Works already arranges for labelling of the more interesting and unusual trees in the Royal Parks. In places frequented by especially large numbers of visitors, such as St. James's Park, some reasonably familiar trees are also labelled. Unfortunately the survival rate of labels is frequently not as long as one would wish.

House adjourned at twenty-six minutes past nine o'clock.
