HC Deb 20 November 1963 vol 684 c96W
50. Mr. Strauss

asked the Minister of Transport whether he has now considered the Anglo-French report on the rail links between the two countries; and whether he will make a statement.

56. Sir W. Teeling

asked the Minister of Transport whether, in connection with the request which he made in September that all organisations concerned should send to him as soon as possible their comments on Command Paper No. 2137, dealing with proposals for a fixed Channel Link, he will now give the latest date by which such observations should be sent in if they are to be considered in connection with Government policy with regard to the Channel Tunnel project.

Mr. Galbraith

The Government's study of the Anglo-French report on a fixed Channel link, and of its implications for this country, is not yet completed. It is, however, being treated as urgent. Any organisation which thought it important that we should know its views would. I should hope, already have submitted them in the two months which have elapsed since our invitation.
