§ 42. Mr. Swinglerasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if Her Majesty's Government will now initiate discussions with all interested Governments on the organisation of internationally-guaranteed nuclear-free zones in areas of tension and where territorial Governments have expressed support for them.
§ Mr. P. ThomasHer Majesty's Government are prepared to support nuclear-free zones in certain areas, if the conditions are satisfactory, but they consider that the initiative must rest with the countries concerned.
