§ Mr. Masonasked the Postmaster-General if he will state the names of the persons and organisations from whom he has received representations on the Television Bill since it concluded its Committee stage; and what was the nature of their requests and his replies, particularly on Clause 7 and the demand for a second independent television channel.
Mr. BeviesSince the Committee stage of the Bill I have continued receiving many representations on various matters connected with the Television Bill, including the two mentioned by the hon. Member. In general, the views expressed are reflected in the notices of Amendments to the Bill now on the Order Paper. As the House will soon be debating these matters on Report I have meanwhile merely noted the representations received.
