§ 36. Mr. Shepherdasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will state the amount of aid granted by the United Kingdom in the years 1961 and 1962; and how much was tied aid in each of these two years.
§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterAid provided by the United Kingdom Government was of the order of £171 million in 1961 and £165 million in 1962. Of these amounts £44 million and £52 million respectively, were tied to the purchase of goods in the United Kingdom.
