§ Mr. NobleThe Scottish Development Department employs 42 engineers with various qualifications, mostly on work relating to roads, water supplies, and sewerage. The technical aspects of electricity generating projects are, however, the responsibility of the Electricity Boards, advised by their own engineers and consultants, and are not reviewed by professional staff in my Department.
