HL Deb 14 May 1963 vol 249 c1294WA
LORD MANCROFT

asked Her Majesty's Government:

The approximate date upon which it may be expected that Hyde Park Corner will start to look like Hyde Park Corner rather than a dress rehearsal for the Day of Judgment.

LORD CHESHAM

The London County Council is responsible for this scheme. I understand, however, that landscaping in the central island should be completed in about a fortnight's time, and by the end of May all but one of the contractors' huts at the south end of Park Lane will have been removed. The one remaining hut will be required until the end of June.

House adjourned at twenty-eight minutes before ten o'clock.
