§ 19. Mr. Holtasked the Minister of Transport what information he has received from his Traffic Commissioners regarding the number of bus services that have been provided by British Railways under Section 4 of the Transport Act, 1962.
§ Mr. HayNone. The Traffic Commissioners, who are independent statutory authorities, are under no obligation to report to us as to the use made (subject to their authority) by the Railways Board of its powers under the several subsections of Section 4 of the Transport Act, 1962. But I understand that the Board is not directly providing any regular bus services under these powers.
