§ 57. Mr. Swinglerasked the Minister of Transport if, in view of the increasing number of accidents on the A.34 road between the centre of Newcastle-under-Lyme and its northern boundary, he will re-examine the provision of safety measures on this stretch of road.
§ Mr. HayWe are doing so, but the most effective remedy is to reduce the traffic load at the junctions on this road, which will be achieved when the length of M.6 which by-passes the town is completed early next year.
