asked Her Majesty's Government the number of persons diagnosed as suffering from psychopathic disorder who have been made the subject of hospital orders under Section 60 of the Mental Health Act 1959.

The latest information available is that up to the end of March, 1963, hospital orders had been made under Section 60 of the Mental Health Act 1959 in respect of 307 persons suffering from psychopathic disorder, 103 of whom were reported to be suffering also from mental illness or subnormality; in 90 cases, further orders restricting discharge were made under Section 65 of the Act.
