Lord Balniel

asked the Minister of Health (1) what percentage of total expenditure on the National Health Service has been financed by the central Government; and what percentage of this figure has been met out of general taxation, National Insurance contributions, and other miscellaneous sources, respectively, during each full year since 1945;

(2) what percentage of total expenditure on the National Health Service has been financed by the central Government, by local authorities, by prescription charges, and by miscellaneous sources, respectively, during each full year since 1945.
