§ Mr. G. M. Thomsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the percentage decrease between 1960 and 1962 in the total uptake of welfare foods in the City of Dundee; and whether he will now reduce the charges for these welfare foods in order to restore the consumption figures.
§ Mr. NobleThe uptake of welfare foods from Dundee Corporation's distribution centres fell by 55 per cent, between 1960 and 1962. This figure does not include welfare liquid milk, for which Dundee figures are not available, but the issue of which has increased in Scotland as a whole. I do not propose to reduce the charges.
